High Performance Computing (HPC)

Data Center Challenges & Infrastructure

presentation followed by

Holiday Social Networking Party

(Food, drinks, Axe-throwing & Bomb-bowling, and conversation)

*BOMBOWLING: Like football? How about bowling? We may have the perfect sport for you – Bombowling! It’s Michigan’s fastest growing sport and we will have it!

*AXE THROWING: Axe-Throwing is a new sport sweeping through North America which has just found its way into a chapter event!  Axe-Throwing is a carefully regulated sport in which participants throw their axes at targets  and play different games much like darts. There will be a highly trained Axe-Throwing Coach with us at all times while you are throwing to maintain safety.

Our venue, The HUB Stadium, is easily accessible from I-75.

The digital world we live in is evolving faster today than ever before.  The evolution is transforming the data center as we know it today.

Dell will help us understand what High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) are about, why organizations are adopting them, and solutions that address these workloads.  Why are these solutions optimized for these workloads?  Why are they dense?  What kind of densities are currently deploying and on the horizon?

This technology evolution and high density solutions is changing thermal management strategies in the data center.  The traditional raised floor and perimeter computer room air conditioners (CRAC) are no long sufficient by themselves.  Vertiv will help us understand technologies and strategies to address these high density solutions
