DCIM – four letters which can strike fear into data center operators.

What is it?

Just ask five DCIM vendors what DCIM is and see if any of them have the same definition. DCIM might be delivered as a software, hardware, or cloud solution, or some combination of the three. DCIM is often delivered as a combination of "product" and "services", with the services often costing as much, or more than, the product itself.

So what is it? Should you invest in it? DCIM has a well-founded reputation for being a challenging tool to choose and implement. Make the wrong choices and you will be left with a worthless, expensive tool you can't use.

David Cole, the ”Godfather of DCIM" will explain both why you need it and why you may not be ready for it.

Dave, founder & CEO of No Limits Software, is a recognized industry leader in data center management solutions. He brings more than 25 years of data center management and software / firmware / hardware development experience to share with us.

He has presented at Data Center Dynamics, Data Center World, AFCOM and other data center forums in the United States and Europe and has authored numerous articles in data center publications. Recently, he developed a 3-day Data Center Infrastructure Management course which he has taught to more than 1,000 students.

The event will take place at the Vista Tech Center at Schoolcraft College at 4:30 PM and will include a buffet dinner, drinks, and plenty of time to network with colleagues.
